Although forced to make seven changes from the
side which had beaten Shipston 2nd 61-0 the previous week, Hereford still
had too much power for Old Saltleians.
They took the lead on the half-hour with a try from Sam Ellis, converted by Will Bolt, and Ellis raced away direct from the kick-off to add a second try, again converted by Bolt. At the start of the second half, skipper Ivan Powell's pass let in Adam Knight for a try with Bolt's conversion taking the score to 21-0. Visiting winger Anthony Evans cut the margin with a try for Saltleians but Hereford came powering back and Tim Berrow, who had scored a hat-trick the previous week, rounded off the scoring in the corner. |
