The home pack went well in the first half and bagged four first-half tries through lock Bob Hill, number eight Richard Harris, prop Luigi Capozzoli and hooker Asa Chung, Lyndon Day landing three conversions.

Malvern registered a converted try before the break, but went further behind soon after the restart when Richard Rees intercepted and raced over for a fifth try, again converted by Day.

The visitors came back to score a late converted consolation try, but Hereford ran out comfortable winners.
