HEREFORD 2nd played a rearranged match away to Lydney 2nd after Newbold cried off and went down 45-5.
Hereford had little time to warm up after a delay in travelling and found themselves 21-0 down after 15 minutes against a strong side.
They fielded some of their national league players and Hereford were forced to defend for most of the game before Wilf Rees scored late on.
