EARLSDON  7 - 24  HEREFORD

Saturday 21 January 2006

Powergen Midlands 3 West (South)

This was a game completely dominated by the referee in which any attempt to play an expansive game by either team was nullified by some very pedantic decisions.

Hereford opened the scoring with a penalty kicked by Colin Osborne. Earlsdon then put the visitors under pressure and from a five metre scrum scored a try under the posts which they converted. The score at half time was 7 - 3 to Earlsdon.

Hereford continued to move the ball around and were eventually rewarded when, from a misdirected clearance kick by Earlsdon, the ball went through several pairs of hands until Jeremy Grisman scored his first try which was successfully converted by Colin Osborne.

This was quickly followed by a try from Adam Knight and another from Jeremy Grisman - both of which Colin Osborne converted. The game ended with Hereford continually on the attack but with no further score.
