Playing against the wind in the first period, Hereford wasted a number of good chances to get on the scoresheet but still managed to end the half 17 points to the good. With fluid movement in the backs proving far too much for the home side, Hereford ran in three tries through Sam Walker, Adam Knight and Jamie Bullock with Richard Rees converting Bullock's try.

Knight added his second try of the game 15 minutes into the second period and the fifth Hereford try arrived almost immediately afterwards. Straight from the kick-off following Knight's second try, Matthew Pritchard collected the ball and sprinted 50 yards before releasing Gary Preece who went over for a fine score. With Hereford continuing to dominate, a sixth try quickly arrived when Sam Ellis crossed after a well-worked move. In the closing stages, and with the Hereford pressure showing no sign of abating, tight-head Billy Sparrey, a recent acquisition from Ledbury, went over for his first try for the Wyesiders. Coach John Watkins, a veteran who had come on as a late replacement, provided a reminder of his considerable kicking skills by adding the extra points to round off the win.

l Hereford 2nd went down 24-5 away to Cheltenham North 2nd with Andy Tanner scoring their only try.

Hereford 3rd romped to a 44-10 home win over Stourport. Tries were scored by John Ralph (2), Steve Greening (2), Woody Aldridge, Ben Stokes, Ben Jenkins and Luke Malone, while Ivan Powell kicked two conversions.
