Hereford were rocked in the first 20 minutes by a succession of tries that brought them their heaviest defeat of the season. With over a dozen first team squad members unavailable it was a hesitant side that took to the field.

Scores came thick and fast through forwards and backs. Stratford were leading 29- 0 with only a quarter of the game played. Hereford then steadied the boat for the next 50 minutes during which time Gary Preece went over for the only Hereford score with Jeremy Grisman kicking the extra points.

Stratford then hit back with 2 tries in the last 3 minutes.
